Just so you know, I’m well over 50 and I intend to live till I’m 100 while enjoying a life with vitality. During my career life, I was mainly interested in ways to reduce stress and maintain good health. At various times I have been involved with Yoga, Aerobics, Strength Training and Swimming. Now that I’m on a fixed income and still very busy with my online work, I need to find less expensive ways to maintain good health.
I’ve always known that I need a social obligation to get me up and out, so I walk on a regular basis with a friend. We have been walking together for about five years, enjoying sunrises, beaches, forest trails and hills. But lately, we have noticed that our usual walks don’t take as long as they used to, and we keep mentioning that we are not getting enough of that important upper body movement. So I started researching and became intrigued with the concept of walking stick benefits.
Why I Want to Help You
I want to help you stay healthy as you age. We know there are three things that ensure a life with vitality, enjoyment and good health – Good Nutrition, Good Sleep and Consistent Exercise (a minimum of three times per week for at least an hour). I want to share my experiences and what I have learned from enhancing my walking with Ladies Walking Sticks. This is the beginning of my story.
So many of us spend way too much time in front of screens and on our duff – TV, computers, phones and tablets. I use all of these and love using them but I know the boost in my mood and life outlook when I get out of the house and enjoying nature. It’s all about good balance – walking, good conversation with a friend, breathing fresh air. Who could ask for more?
